The Origin Of A Bad Idea

Nobody remembers exactly when he started trying things. What everyone remembers, in vivid and frequently retold detail, is how each attempt went.

He has tried sports. He has tried cooking. He has tried, on one memorable occasion, simply standing still — and even that went sideways. There is no record of him succeeding at anything, and not for lack of effort. The effort, by all accounts, is the one thing he’s never short on.

That’s the whole premise. A guy who keeps showing up, keeps swinging, and keeps walking away with a story instead of a win. We started making shirts about it because the alternative — a guy with this track record and no merchandise — felt like a missed opportunity, which would honestly be on-brand.

Every product here is named, designed, or quietly inspired by something that didn’t work out. If that sounds like a low bar, you clearly haven’t met him.
